Respiratory diseases are extremely common illnesses that limit horses, probably second only to lameness. Respiratory diseases can be viral, bacterial, immune mediated (allergies), or mechanical in nature. In this webinar Laura will be discussing the key points in making a diagnosis and treatment options.

Dr Laura Hardefeldt BSc, BVMS, Diplomate ACVIM
Laura graduated from Murdoch University in 2003. She worked in mixed practice in Northern Victoria and then in Gippsland for 2 ½ years before completing an internship in Equine Medicine and Surgery at Sydney University. Following this, Laura successfully applied for a residency position and completed a 3 year residency in Large Animal Internal Medicine at the University of Wisconsin Madison. Laura worked at Adelaide University as a Lecturer in Equine Medicine for 1 year prior to joining Goulburn Valley Equine Hospital in 2011. Laura has a special interest in neonatal medicine and neurological disease in horses.
